Pumper Truck!

As some of you might know, we are having a construction project done on our house. Our old deck is gone, and in its place will be a screened-in porch. Underneath the porch I will have a brand new stamp room! My old stamp room is going to be a media room (for my husband, although I'm sure the rest of us will enjoy it as well.) We will also be putting a door from the kitchen onto a new deck. So exciting! In the next week or two, I will have to start packing up my stamp room so they can cut thru the basement window to put in a doorway to the new stamp room. I know, big project!

Anyway, things are starting to move along, after a lot of rain delays. Yesterday the pumper truck came to pour the concrete for the footers. It was so COOL! I felt like a little kid on "Big Truck Day", like we do in Kindergarten here! Of course I had to take pictures, especially since Bob missed the excitement!

The big truck pulled into my driveway, and it was huge. It had a crane-like thing on the bed, and then the guy extended it up and around the house, using a remote control!

Once it was over the house, they poured concrete into the pumper truck, and then the concrete was pumped into my back yard.

You just don't get to see cool stuff like that everyday!
And that was the big day at the Hyer's house! I realize some of you only come to my blog for stamping-related things, but in the scheme of things, this really is about stamping! After all, some day soon I will be able to show you my new stamp room! (well, don't hold your breath, because it will probably be about 3 months till everything is done.)
