Time to show you some more pictures from Convention! The first night we had a Flower Power party! We were encouraged to dress up in our best flower power apparel. I don't own any, so didn't dress up. But some others went all out! Like Amy....
And here are Michele and Debi! I never saw so much tie-dye in one room before! It was a lot of fun. They also had demonstrator presentations going on, plus games, and prizes. It was a great way to start convention.
The second night was Awards Night. It is always so exciting, but that night was especially so! Amy (on the left) was #5 Rising Star! This is huge! Only 15 girls out of the whole company earn this award, and it has to be done in your first full year of being a demonstrator. I was so proud of her, and she's not even in my downline! Just a super friend!
And Deb is my stamping idol! She was #9 Demonstrator of the Year (out of about 50,000 of us!), plus #8 in personal sales! Incredible! Deb is quite an inspiration to me, and one of my best friends in the world! I am so lucky to know these 2 amazing ladies!
After all the awards, we are treated to some sort of entertainment. This year it was a country singer named Charley Jenkins, and his band. Their tour bus literally drove into the room, and they all came running out of it and onto the stage. It was fantastic! My picture isn't that great, but to the far left is the fiddler named Lindsey Stirling. She was adorable. The minute I saw her I said, "She's on America's Got Talent!". And it was true. Charley introduced
her to us and told us about her upcoming spot on the show. She was one of the 48 semi-finalists. Well, she was on TV this past Tuesday, but was voted off last night. Booooooo! But it was a real treat to see her on the show.
And finally, here I am being recognized for my $300,000 Milestone. Yes, believe it or not, I hit personal career sales of $300,000 this year, and got to walk across the stage! It only took me 11 years to do it! I will be receiving a pin with 3 little rubies in it to commemorate my accomplishment. I love how Stampin' Up! awards you for all these things, they make you feel very special. In fact, one of the SU! staff called me this week, just to congratulate me on my milestone!
That's it for now! I'll be back soon with just a few more things I want to show you...
More Convention!
