"Spring and Sale-A-Bration" Card Class

Hi Everyone!  If you recall, I've added a card class to my calendar.  It will be featuring stamps and accessories from the Spring Mini Catalog and some Sale-A-Bration items.  I have been busy designing the cards for the class, and I have four of them ready.  And guess what, I'm going to show them to you right now!

There will be a total of six cards (with envelopes) in the class, all for $20. If you'd like to attend, you need to pre-register and pre-pay no later than Friday, February 1, to hold your spot. The dates for the class are:

Friday, February 8 at 7:30 pm
Sunday, February 10 at 1:00 pm
Wednesday, February 13 at 9:30 am
Wednesday, February 13 at 1:00 pm

Contact me at Sue@WeLoveToStamp.com to sign up for the class.  There is a possibility that I will also be doing this class thru the mail, for those of you who can't attend, if there is enough interest.  There will be an additional cost for that service.  Let me know if that works better for you.

Sale-A-Bration starts on Tuesday, January 22! "Star Book" Class

My "Star Book" Class is here! It will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, December 7 at 1:00 pm. Cost is $28. You MUST pre-register and pre-pay no later than 10 am on Monday, December 1, to reserve your spot. You will need to choose a Simply Scrappin' Kit from pages 172-175 in the catalog, and you will be using that to create your Star Book! Because I have to order the kits, I cannot take late registrations for this class.

And here is the inside! It opens up and becomes a star! It's the perfect gift for a loved one. You just add photos or special journaling, and it will be a keepsake for years to come!

In addition to the Star Book, you will also make 10 cards with envelopes, using the extra card stock and self-adhesive die cuts. Another gift from just one class! Your Star Book and cards will look different from mine, depending on which Simply Scrappin' Kit you choose. I used Summer Home, but there are lots others to choose from, including baby and Christmas. "Carousel Notes" Purse Class is coming!

First of all, let me apologize for being gone so long! Oh my gosh! Getting the most out of the last bits of summer, and then getting ready for back to school really fills up your schedule! We brought my oldest son back to VA Tech and got him settled into an apartment. I had a ball setting up their kitchen, since he and his roommate really didn't care where the glasses and plates went! This was all new and fun stuff for us (me especially)! Then of course we had our last summer hurrah at the lake over Labor Day weekend. Couldn't miss that! But now everyone is back in school, I've hopefully purchased all the binders, dividers, composition books, etc, etc, etc, that we'll need for at least the first semester! So now I can get back to business....


My first big class coming up is the "Carousel Notes" Purse class. I have had a sample of this project in my stamp room, and so many people have asked me to do a class. I am finally getting around to it. However, the sample I had was made with retired stamps and designer paper, so I had to re-design it. This is what I came up with, and I love the new colors! It uses the Urban Garden paper, and it's so gorgeous! The photo above is when the purse is closed. It stands on its own and looks adorable!

Here is a side view of the purse. It will make a great gift for a loved one (think grandparents), because inside you can add photos and write some personal sentiments. Take a look at the next picture to see what it looks like on the inside.

The purse folds out to look like this. You put photos on the Kiwi Kiss mats, and on one of the center folds is an area to write your greetings. See the next 2 pictures for close ups of the side panels.

And then the right side...And then the really fun part! Tucked inside the big envelopes, which make up the base of the purse, are 2 Carousel Notes, covered with designer paper. You can add more photos or journaling here. Don't ya just love it?!

There will only be time during class to make one of these purses, but if you want more kits to take home with you, feel free to purchase them when you register for class.

If you are unable to attend, or are long distance, you can still take the class thru "Stamps in the Mail". I will pre-cut and pre-stamp everything for you, email you photos of the project, and mail you all the supplies, for the low cost of just $25. You will just have to assemble the project.

You must pre-register and pre-pay no later than Monday, September 15 to reserve your spot. I won't be able to take late registrations, since I won't be ordering any extra supplies.

I will take "Stamps in the Mail" orders thru Sept. 30.

"Spring Gifts" Class continued...

In my April 16 post, I gave you a sneak peek at my Spring Gifts Class. I have finally finished designing the rest of the projects, and I'm ready to show them to you! We'll be making 7 projects in all. The class will be held on Friday, May 2 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 4 at 1:00 pm. The cost is $30, and you MUST pre-register and pre-pay no later than Monday, April 28. You won't want to miss this one!

Here is the magnetic clip. You will cover it with Designer Paper and add the embellishments. this will look great on anyone's fridge!

This is the "Nuggets and Notes" set. You'll do 4 gift cards with envelopes, wrap decorated labels around Hersheys Nuggets, and put them all in a clear box. Too cute!

And finally, this is the Post-It keychain. Inside is a square post-it pack. You will customize the front with someone's initial. So think about who you might want to give this to! (And if you can't think of anyone, you can just put a flower, or something, in the center!)

Sneak Peek and Last Chance!

I hope to get back to posting card samples very soon! I was just out of town for a wedding in Minnesota for 5 days. Would you believe I left 80 degree weather here in Virginia and ended up in a blizzard with 10 inches of snow in Minnesota?!!! Thankfully it was pretty cleared up by the wedding day, although still a bit cold for the bride, in her strapless gown and sandals! But it was still a lovely wedding!

Get Punchy!

This weekend I am having my "Get Punchy" Card Class. We will be making 8 cards using all sorts of different punches. For instance, with circle and scallop punches, we will create a sun. With more circles and the 5-Petal Flower punch, we'll make an adorable bunny face. We'll create a sunflower using oval punches. The possibilities are endless, and this is going to be so much fun!

The class will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, February 24 at 1:00 pm. Cost is $20 for 8 cards with envelopes. The deadline to sign up is tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 21), that will give me time to cut and prep all the cards. Call or email me ASAP to save your spot.
