"Fluffy" Hearts!

Surprise! A post from me! I think you'll like this one - it's a mini tutorial! This idea is from my good friend, Deb Valder. She swapped this card at Leadership and it was a huge hit, so of course, I had to CASE it! We made this card at my Stamp Camp this month, and everyone loved it!

As you can see, it's just a very simple Valentine card, but with a 3-D heart on the front. Note: when you send this card, the heart will flatten out, so you need to tell the recipient that they will have to "fluff" the heart! The base of the card is Pink Pirouette with a layer of Whisper White on top of it. Punch out a 1 3/8" square towards the top. (I actually pushed the punch in as far as it would go, centering it, and that was perfect.)

The fluffed heart is in the center of the punched out square. Keep reading to find out how to create the heart...

You will need the brand new "Heart to Heart" punch. For the card you can use either the large or medium size heart. Punch out the hearts 5 times, save your extra hearts for other projects, and use one of the little ones for the front of your card.

Fold all 5 hearts in half.

Then begin attaching the hearts to each other. Attach the right side of one heart to the left side of the next heart.

Keep doing this until all 5 hearts are stuck together. Then attach the backs of the 2 end hearts to the inside of the punched out square on your card.

And then "fluff" as necessary! Voila! That's all there is to it! Thanks Deb for such a cool card!
