My Travels

Wow! It's been almost a month since I've posted to my blog! I admit it, I am a fair-weather blogger! My excuse this time is that I have been traveling, among other things. I was on my Stampin' Up! trip to Hawaii, which was FANTASTIC! Then I had a little jet lag, which threw me off. Plus, you know how you have to play catch-up after a vacation? That's another excuse. And then... we were just on Spring Break this past week. Now we didn't go anywhere, but I put stamping on hold and got all sorts of projects done around the house, including painting a bedroom. Doesn't sound much like a break? Well, I get a great sense of accomplishment when I can check things off my list, so to me that is sort of a vacation. This was a great time to work on things, when we were unscheduled. But I digress... let me tell you a little bit about our trip, and then one of these days I will get back to stamping!

We stopped in San Francisco for 2 days, on our way out to Hawaii, and had a great time with my buddy, Deb Valder, and her husband Kevin. It was cold and windy while we were there, so I was happy to have my turtleneck and jacket! In this picture we were at Alcatraz, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. Can you tell I'm freezing my patookie off?

And then it was off to Hawaii! This is the resort we stayed at, the Waikoloa Village Hilton. It was amazing! And huge! They had trams and boats to take you from place to place, in case you didn't want to make the 10-15 minute walk. Luckily it was much warmer in Hawaii, so I was able to put away my jacket...

Isn't this just gorgeous? Stampin' Up! had a breakfast for all of us one morning, right out on the patio next to these falls. Now I could get used to that!

On our last night Stampin' Up! had a luau for us. These adorable girls met us at the gate and put beaded leis around our necks. And then later in the evening they performed the hula for us. That was just a small part of the show. We were served a wonderful dinner too.

And the scenery wasn't bad either! These guys were just hanging around, perfect for our photo ops. With me are Patsy, Deb, and Georgia, some of my favorite SU! people. So this is just a small portion of our trip. It was so relaxing, and we were pampered from beginning to end. Thanks Stampin' Up!
