Show You Care

I haven't been real good about posting stamping samples lately, so I have decided I just might turn this into a stamping/personal blog! And here is the first thing I'd like to tell you about...

My good friend, Mary, has an 11 year old daughter, Kate. Kate is an active girl scout and does a lot of community service with her troop, but has decided she wants to do more! She came up with the idea of sending "All American" care packages to military members stationed in Iraq, specifically the 900 soldiers in her uncle's unit. So she started an organization called "Show You Care" to do just that! The package includes baseball cards, Bazooka bubble gum, an apple-cinnamon cereal bar, and Girl Scout cookies. I thought this was a fabulous idea! The packages cost $5.00 each, and that includes all the contents, plus shipping costs. Kate has started a website to tell you more.
