Do you ever feel like you will never get caught up on things? Or that the "To Do" list just keeps getting longer and longer? Cross off one thing, add two more! Ugh! Yes, it's been a crazy week, I can't really tell you what I've been doing, but I sure don't feel like I've gotten much done! Thanks to all of you that attended my Open House in the past week! It was crazy and fun! The Retired Stamp sets were flying off the shelves! But there are still some left, so for the next month or so, when you come to a class or event, have another look at the table because everything will be 50% off the marked price! Yep, it's time to clean out so I can buy more!!!
Anyway, that was my disclaimer as to why it's taken me so long to get back to my blog! But here I am, and I want to show you the two cards we did at my June Stamp Clubs. The technique is called "Side by Side" inks and it's easy, easy, easy! All you do is line up 2 stamp pads next to each other, and then run the brayer over them simultaneously. You have to move and angle the brayer to get coverage in the middle, but it's not hard to do. Then you brayer diagonally over your card stock. I think glossy card stock works best. Give the ink a minute to dry, then you can stamp over it with your image. On the top card I used the Bugs and Kisses set, brayering with Brocade Blue and Certainly Celery. I also used this card for my swaps at Convention, and it was a hit!
On this card I used the new set, Fresh Cuts, and brayered with Really Rust and More Mustard. If you click on the photos, you'll be able to see the detail on the punched out photo corners. I pierced them and added a brad, just to give it a little more detail. The silhouette stamps are big now, and you will see a lot more of them in the brand new Fall/Winter Catalog! Which, by the way, is fantastic! So many new things to play with - woo hoo!!!!
