I am back from the Stampin' Up! Convention, and all I can say is "WOW"! We had such a great time! It was so much fun spending time with my downline and other stamping friends from around the country! The Make & Takes were fantastic, the classes were good, and I am so tired! Convention always means lots of action and very little sleep! However, it's well worth it. I did some card swapping, and I will have all those out for you to look at when you come to my New Catalog Open House on either Wed, Aug. 13 from 7-9 pm, Thurs, Aug. 14 from 1-3 pm, or Sat, Aug. 16 from 1-3 pm or 7-9 pm. You will also get to see the Make & Takes I did, and of course, receive your NEW Fall/Winter catalog! I will also be selling my Retired Stamp Sets and Wheels, plus leftover accessories from classes, etc. And there will be a FREE Make & Take for everyone who attends. You won't want to miss it!
Owl Together Now!
One of the things we did while at Convention was a WOW swap with a group of demonstrators from New York and a group from Nebraska. We've been getting together for the past few years, and the cards are always great. Deb, Jennifer, and I (we organized the swap) also made up kits for everyone to take home and assemble. The photo you see above is the kit that I brought. It's a card/tag, it's hard to see but the front part does lift up for you to write your message inside. I used the brand new Owl Together Now set - isn't it cute? I stamped each owl individually, colored them with blender pens and reinkers, and attached with dimensionals. For the scallop on the side I used our new Scallop Edge Punch. You are going to want that item for sure! We will definitely be doing this project at some point in the new future, probably at Stamp Camp. So you'll want to be sure to come and make one for yourself!
