Happy Anniversary to me!

Hi Everyone! I just returned from a big family trip to Jamaica to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary! Needless to say, there was no stamping or blogging on the beach! We had a great trip, and it was nice to spend some time with the whole family - my parents, my sister and her family, plus my brother and his family. What a time all the cousins had together! Anyway, my husband and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary, so I wanted to share a few things with you!

This is the card I made for my husband, Bob. It's not real fancy, but I love the look of embossing with silver EP on silver metallic card stock. (I did one in gold for my parents!) I tend to forget about the metallic papers, but they sure do make an elegant card!

This card was sent to us by my sister. Now, she doesn't much like to stamp and feels that she's not very creative. But I have to hand it to her, she came up with this card using her limited supplies. I just had to laugh when I took it out of the envelope, just because I could picture her working furiously on this card. And I certainly do appreciate the time and effort she put into it, since it's really not her thing. My sister is pretty funny, her Christmas letters are a hoot and everyone looks forward to them. So I should have known she wouldn't just make us a card, she would have to add a little something to it!

I opened the card and this is what was inside. She had dug deep into her pile of old pictures and found this one from our wedding. I don't know if you can read the caption, but it says" Sue still lives to serve Bob!" Leave it to my sister! I burst out laughing when I saw that, and then I really appreciated how much thought she had put into the card! And wouldn't you know it, but Bob and I haven't changed a bit! (ha ha ha ha ha)
