I'd like to wish all of you mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day! We made this card at my April Stamp Camp, and I liked how it turned out so much that both my mother and mother-in-law will be receiving it! I don't think they "blog" though, so the secret is safe!
I used the Live Your Dream stamp set, along with the coordinating Afternoon Tea Designer Paper, both from the Occasions mini catalog. The little ribbon slider is from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge kit. You need to check that kit out - there are so many cute little things in there! Stampin' Up! has extended the sales period for that mini catalog thru the end of June, so you have a little more time to get all your favorites from it! I was glad to hear that, since I'm not quite done playing with everything yet!
Take a look at the colors on the flowers and stems - Groovy Guava and Wild Wasabi. Since we don't have markers in those colors, I ended up using the reinkers and blender pens and colored directly onto the stamp. That worked quite well. I think the blender pen tips are now permanently those colors, but that's okay. I figure I'll mark those pens and keep them with my In Color supplies!
